Lotus Pond is the biggest outdoor area in Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park and, most likely, in Bali. Thus, Lotus Pond is the perfect and only place to held a big scale outdoor event.

Lotus Pond is a unique place with limestone pillars on the side and the magnificent statue of Garuda on the background.
The lotus is the foremost symbol of beauty, prosperity, and fertility. Wisnu also always carries a lotus in his hand and almost all the gods of the Hindu pantheon are seated on lotuses or carry the flower.
Some interesting facts are that the lotus plant grows up through the water, having its root in the illus or mud, and spreading its flower in the air above. Thus, the lotus typifies the life of man and also that of the cosmos.
The root of the lotus sunk in the mud represents material life. The stalk passing up through the water typifies existence in the astral world. The flower floating above water and open up to the sky is emblematical of spiritual being.
